No Mother Can Be at Peace Separated From Her Children – Regina Daniels Speaks Out on Custody Battle
Regina Daniels has released a deeply personal statement, shedding more light on her separation from her children and the events surrounding her strained relationship with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. In an emotional message shared alongside a video, the Nollywood actress said public perception of her happiness masks a far deeper pain. “People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children,” Daniels said. She explained that her silence over time was a conscious decision, not weakness. According to her, she refused to allow the pain of separation to define or imprison her, which is why she took time before walking away from the situation. The actress accused her husband of deliberately exposing their children on social media during a sensitive period, describing the action as troubling and calculated. She questioned whether the repeated public display of the children was driven by parental responsibility or a desire for attention, noting that it was unlikely a seasoned lawmaker would be unaware such posts would attract intense media scrutiny. Daniels said she initially stayed away from the matter to avoid further noise in the media space but felt compelled to speak as events continued to unfold. In a sharp remark, she criticised what she described as childish behaviour, suggesting the senator had crossed from public service into content creation. In her most serious allegation, Daniels claimed this was the last time she has had communication with her children. She alleged that her husband dismissed all her nannies and pressured them into making false statements accusing her of violence and alcohol abuse in the presence of the children. She further stated that he has since filed for full custody, despite already having physical care of the children. Questioning the intensity of the legal challenge against her, Daniels said she struggles to understand why she is being treated as a threat. “I may be young, but I am a mum,” she said, adding that motherhood is central to her identity and that she deeply misses her children. Ending her statement on a firm note, the actress dismissed any suggestion that she would abandon the fight for her children. “It is crazy to think I will not come for my children,” she said. “I will definitely see my kids soon.”
